Pray For People, But Don’t Tell Them

Daily writing prompt
Write about a random act of kindness you’ve done for someone.

Prayer is an intentional thought process aimed at realizing the power we have in co-creating our experiences with a higher power.

Personally, I choose to call this higher power “God,” but I know others use different names to describe the same life force to which I am referring.

My random act of kindness is praying for people. Unfortunately, I suffer from wanting to give unsolicited advice any time I see someone who’s crying for help.

I hear when people are crying for help even when there are no tears pouring from their eyes. I hear people crying for help even when they smile from ear to ear.

I hear what people say to me.

I can hear the pain and hurt when they share stories and try not to make their pain a big deal.

I hear it.

Unfortunately, because I suffer from Unsolicited Advice syndrome, my attempt at helping is always taken as being judgmental, non-comforting, and seemingly out-of-place.

I often wonder do they know I hear what they’re saying…I guess I’ll never know.

So now, I resorted to just praying.

I am someone who genuinely wants the best for everyone. I don’t see any purpose in wishing on someone’s downfall.

I created this blog so I can write my advice for those who are searching for it.

I no longer give advice to anyone (if asked, I will share). Otherwise, they are now just in my prayers.

I know that I serve a God who listens and answers.
