Originally, I intended for this podcast to be modeled after my blog post Overcoming hopelessness through belief in God but when I started speaking, the natural direction went elsewhere. For a few days, I was very hesitant to release this episode because it’s 100% vulnerable – no filter, no shame, no guilt – just pure emotion.
Feeling hopeless is the tip of the iceberg. Underneath hopelessness are feelings of anger, guilt, shame, frustration, confusion and more. In this episode, Veronica recalls the advice of her dad and an elementary school social worker who helped her develop the skills to keep hope alive.
