You are here for ONE reason

You are here for ONE reason

To share this experience. To love.

We’ve complicated our existence so much and seem to forget that we are all in this together.

Let’s talk about it:

  • How different can we be if we’re on the same floating rock and born of human beings?
  • Our perceptions influence the way we connect with others.
  • Why it’s important to love your neighbor as yourself.
Check out this video, I want to know your thoughts. Let’s talk about it in the comments.

Now, I’m not talking High School Musical – I mean, we are literally on the same floating rock together. We are breathing the same air within the layers of our atmosphere.

The only thing separating us is our perceptions.

Quick lesson on Perception

Perceptions are ways we are taught to view the world. Think of perceptions as sunglasses.

Sunglasses have lenses with different tints; they change the color of the world you’re looking at.

Now it’s important to understand that the color of the world didn’t change. The sunglasses you put on is the change.

Once you take off those sunglasses, you see that color of the world is still the same; the reality of the world doesn’t change.

The same logic can be applied to perceptions.

Perceptions create different ways of seeing the world. When perceptions are active, you see a world influenced by those perceptions.

I am arguing that regardless of those perceptions, we are more alike than not.

We are NOT that different

The first and most important characteristic of being a human is that we are born from another human.

This characteristic alone is a similarity we ALL share.

We have learned to call the human we come from a female and, in most cases, a woman (I recognize that there are gender fluid/non-binary individuals who can bring life into this world).

As human beings who first grow in a uterus, we all have the same four nucleotides that make up our DNA.

The arrangement of these four nucleotides is what makes us look different and behave different from one another.

Other than that, we all have to pee, poop, eat, sleep, love, feel pain, grow, break…we all have to be human.

We are in this experience together, yet we let perceptions tear us apart.

We are in this existence to share our experience with others.

Not to judge. Not to hurt. Not to steal. Not to kill. Not to destroy.

We are here to love.

The Golden Rule

Love your neighbor as you love yourself – a commandment.

To love your neighbor as yourself means you treat people how you want to be treated.

If you don’t want to be yelled at, don’t yell at others.

If you don’t want to be ridiculed, don’t ridicule others.

If you want to be respected, respect others.

If you want to be heard, listen to others.

If you want to be loved, love others.

When I say “others” I mean everyone outside of you. That coworker you don’t like, the ex you can’t stand, that parent that hurt your heart, those haters that want to ruin your life…those are the others I am talking about.

Loving your neighbor as yourself is not easy when you don’t know how to love yourself.

I want to help you learn how to love yourself then you can love your neighbors.

We can make this world a better place by starting with the (hu)Man in the Mirror.

As a coach, I am dedicated to sharing tips that will elevate your mindset, confidence, and experience.

With peace,
